The Highland Manor is a long-term health care facility consisting of 19 beds and is located in Neil’s Harbour, Nova Scotia.
The Highland Manor was incorporated as the Highland Manor Municipal Housing Corporation by the Board of Directors and the Municipality of Victoria County in 1983. The mission of the home is to create and foster an environment where staff can work together to provide quality care for our residents. We provide a quality holistic approach to our care consisting of nursing, rehabilitative, medical, social, recreational, volunteer, pastoral and other related services, while still having a home-like atmosphere. We offer all services in accordance with the generally accepted limitations, as determinedby recognized authorities in the long-term care and medical fields. We operate within the relavent acts, regulations and policies as established by the federal, provincial and municipal governments. We work with other homes in Nova Scotia as a member of the Continuing Care Association of Nova Scotia. We put emphasis on working as a team and resident well-being is always considered in decision making.
The operation of the facility commenced on May 2, 1986. The purpose of our organization is to extend care primarily to our senior population, that is resident centered. Our quality care is delivered by our many health care professionals.
